About Dayton Community Orchestra
Our Mission
At Dayton Community Orchestra, we strive to create a refuge for members of our community to work together to learn, grow, and connect through music. Our group brings together people who are at the beginning of their musical journey, music and who have taken a break for a while or performers who have been playing for years. All are welcome.
Our History
Founded in 2023, Dayton Community Orchestra moved from being a student club at Bryan College to welcoming members from the community. In a very short time, we have gone from just a few members to over 30 members. We have been able to perform some wonderful music and look forward to growing and finding more ways to serve our community here in Dayton
Our Activities
We rehearse most Thursdays during the school year, and feel so blessed to be partnering with Bryan Colledge for use of their facilities for both our rehearsals and the use of Rudd concert hall. Our concerts consist of a Fall Concert, Christmas Concert and Spring Concert. We also have participated in small ensemble events that we hope to expand in the coming years.
